Abhijit Mukherjee
Mr. Abhijit Mukherjee was graduated from the National Power Training Institute (E.R.) in Power Engineering in 2006, before getting associated with Magtech. Mr. Mukherjee has worked extensively in the construction industry in positions like Asst. Manager (Mechanical Maintenance), Sr. Manager and finally elevated to Deputy General Manager in Reliance Infrastructure Limited. Before joining Magtech, Mr. Mukherjee has worked as Director in Jagatguru Power Projects Limited till July 2024.
Mr. Mukherjee is result-oriented professional with over 18+ years of experience in Erection and commissioning including Strategic Planning, Project Management & Engineering Coordination of 600 MW and 660 MW Turbogenerator sets, Turbine driven pumps, Turbine-Generator auxiliaries, HP & LP Piping and Condensate Polishing Units.
Mr. Mukherjee has rich experience of techno-commercial management in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of Steam Turbines, Gas Turbines, Generators, TG Auxiliary Systems, GT Auxiliary Systems, Condensers, Heat Exchangers, Piping (Critical/Non-Critical), Rotary Equipment’s, Static Equipment’s, Pressure Vessels and CPU of up to 660 MW capacity Thermal Power Plants, Commissioning and Mechanical Maintenance of 48 MW Combined Cycle Power Plant including BOP and up to 40 MW Solar Rooftop/ Shed/ Ground Mounted/ Solar Tree Power Plants, Comprehensive Maintenance of Transformers & Bus Ducts, Electrification under RDSS Scheme in Electrical side up to 132KV including Project Management, Quality Management and Technical Troubleshooting with organizations of high repute.
Currently Mr. Mukherjee is working with Magtech as HoD (Project Planning & Execution).
Ms. Punam Mukhopadhyay graduated in Chemical Engineering from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, in 2008. She then obtained a Master of Engineering in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2010, after which she transitioned to research in Chemical Engineering, completing her doctoral degree in the same field at Jadavpur University in 2022. She served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, from 2010 to 2013, and subsequently at Techno India University, Kolkata, from 2023 until October 2024. Dr. Mukhopadhyay is a highly accomplished researcher in Chemical Engineering, having received numerous awards, including the GATE scholarship (2008), the University Gold Medal (2010, Jadavpur University), the West Bengal State Fellowship (2014–2019), and the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan Fellowship (2019–2020).
To date, Dr. Mukhopadhyay has authored or co-authored 19 articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to two book chapters. She has presented papers at five international and twelve national conferences.
Her core areas of expertise include Energy Science and Engineering, Fluid Mechanics, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Transport Phenomena.
Dr. Mukhopadhyay is currently working as a Research Scientist– Chemical in Magtech.
Dr. Punam Mukhopadhyay
Dr. Sourav Barman
Dr. Sourav Barman completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Haldia Institute of Technology in 2014. After that he went to academia to become a specialist in the field and completed ME in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2016 and successfully defended and obtained his doctoral (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2024.
During ME, Dr. Barman worked on project titled “Intensification and Optimization of Heterogeneous Catalyzed Hydrolysis of Lignocellulosic Biomass”; while his doctoral thesis was “Preparation of Cost-Effective Green Catalyst for Sustainable Hydrolysis of Lignocellulosic Biomass for Biofuel Production”.
Dr. Barman’s main areas of expertise are: Process optimization and intensification employing electromagnetic radiation, Batch and continuous reactor design, scale up and cost estimation, Reaction Kinetics, molecular simulation and process simulation, Sustainable process development through environmental impact assessment analysis and cost -effective nano-catalyst design and characterization. He is also highly trained in both instrumental analysis techniques (like UV/Vis-spectroscopy, HPLC, GC-MS, BET, ICP, TGA etc.) and in simulation & theoretical analysis tools (like Minitab, MATLAB, Aspen Plus, Polymath, COMSOL, FLUENT, Material Studio, ORCA, OpenLCA, SimaPro, Power BI).
Dr. Barman has published (authored/co-authored) eight articles in internal peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Barman is now working as Research Scientist – Chemical in Magtech.
Alongside his day-to-day activities at Magtech, Dr. Barman is also involved in four collaborative R&D projects with Jadavpur University as main resource person.
Mr. Tanbir Ahmmed graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2020 and then obtained a Master of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university in 2023. His Masters’ thesis was titled as “Unravelling of Sulphur Selenium unsaturation in with efficient acidic and alkaline Hydrogen Evolution Reaction (HER)”.
Mr. Ahammed is an enthusiastic graduate engineer with a solid grasp of Mechanical Engineering and Nanoscience and Technology and is an Expert in various design software as well as in different characterization technique like XRD, FESEM, TEM etc.
Mr. Ahmmed is now working as a Research Engineer – Mechanical in Magtech.
Alongside his day-to-day activities at Magtech, Mr. Ahammed is also involved in two collaborative R&D projects with Jadavpur University and IIT Guwahati as the main resource person.
Tanbir Ahammed
Md. Nur Alam
Mr. Md. Nur Alam was graduated in Civil Engineering from Jadavpur University in 2010. After graduation he worked in the Civil Construction Industry extensively in various positions – Sr. Site Engineer in Hindustan Construction Company Ltd.; Asst. Manager in Solu Hydro Power Pvt. Ltd; Sr. Manager in Onycon Infra LLP. He is bringing more than 12 years of industry experience in Magtech and his main areas of expertise are: Project Management & Execution, Contract Administration, Cost Control, Quality Assurance & Control, EHS Management, Site Administration, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Relationship Management and Team Management.
Mr. Alam is now working as Execution Engineer in Magtech.
Dr. Nur Amin Hoque is a researcher with expertise in sustainable energy solutions, materials science, and nanotechnology. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India, with research focused on energy harvesting and environmental applications. He also earned an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in physics with first-class distinctions from the same university.
Dr. Hoque has conducted postdoctoral research at prestigious institutions. At Zhejiang University in China, Dr. Hoque worked on piezoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerators, which are devices that convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. At IISER Mohali, India, his focus was on the development of ultrasound transducers and photoacoustic sensors using highly piezoelectric thin films for biomedical imaging. He also worked as a National Postdoctoral Fellow at the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science (IACS), Kolkata, where he develops high-performance piezoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerators for wearable and self-powered devices.
Dr. Hoque’s research contributions include:
Developing piezoelectric and triboelectric nanogenerators to harvest energy.
Development of piezoelectric and triboelectric-based self-powered smart devices.
Developing ultrasonic transducers and photoacoustic sensors for diagnostics.
Designing piezocatalytic systems for environmental cleanup.
Applying machine learning to piezoelectric and triboelectric sensor applications.
His work has resulted in over 1,705 citations and an h-index of 22, with publications in reputed journals like the Chemical Engineering Journal. He has received notable recognition, including the SERB National Postdoctoral Fellowship and awards from the Anveshan Research Convention.
In addition to research, Dr. Hoque has mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, contributing to advancements in sustainable energy, healthcare, and environmental technology.
Currently he is working as a Research Scientist at Magellanium Technologies.

Shibaji Mukherjee
Mr. Shibaji Mukherjee was graduated in Commerce from Calcutta University in 2004. Mr. Mukherjee also completed DNIIT and Oracle 9i Database Management diplomas from NIIT in 2006-2007.
He has more than 12 years of experience in Finance Process Management, General Accounting, Office Management, Logistic Management, Key Business Management Procedure and Project Management.
Before joining Magtech as Commercial Officer, Mr. Mukherjee held various positions in reputed companies such as: Operations Officer in ICICI Securities Ltd, HRD Associate in Mafoi Management Consultant, Commercial Officer (Project Management Group) in Reliance Infra. Ltd., Sr. Specialist in NK Realtors Pvt. Ltd.
Ms. Mouli Kalsai started her professional career back in 2008 as Marketing Executive in Deautsche Bank. After that she held several positions such as Relationship Officer, Senior Recruiter, Event Coordinator, Designer, HR Executive etc. in several organizations in a career that span over 15 years. Ms. Kalsa completed her BSc in Zoology in 2013 and MSc in Zoology in 2016. In addition to these degrees, she also has several professional diplomas in Computer Application from Lady Brabourne College, Tally, Store Keeping and Digital Marketing. Ms. Kalsa is also a prolific personality with professional trainings in Bharatnatyam, Fine Arts, Yoga and Classical Vocal. Ms. Kalsa was also instrumental in organizing events like Webinars and Seminars. She also has few published works like “Sahitya Ganga – an anthology”, “Astitva Prakashan” on 18th February 2023; “Community Based Tourism: Benefits & Challenges”, Philanthropist India” on 24th December, 2022.
Ms. Kalsa is now working as Head – Operations in Magtech.

Debolena Roy
Ms. Debolena Roy obtained her Diploma in Computer Science and Technology in 2019; then she graduated in Bachelor of Computer Science & Engineering in 2022 from the Government College of Engineering & Leather Technology; after that she obtained an MBA in Marketing and Business Administration from Institute of Engineering and Management in 2024.
Ms. Roy’s main areas of expertise are driving online brand visibility and generating leads. She is skilled in SEO, PPC, social media marketing, content marketing. She has proven ability to develop and execute effective digital marketing strategies that align with business objectives.
Ms. Roy is working as Digital Marketing Executive in Magtech.
